2.1- Adjetivos en su grado comparativo

Los adjetivos describen cualidades de los sustantivos, las que pueden variar en su intensidad.

a. Grado Comparativo

Superioridad o inferioridad de calidad respecto a otro:

Comparativos de superioridad.

• Adjective -er + than        $\to$ Soup is hotter than other meals.
• More + adjective + than $\to$ Preparing a barbecue is more expensive than other meals.

Comparativos de inferioridad.

• Less + adjective + than $\to$ Hot dog is less expensive than other kind of fast food.

 

b. Grado Superlativo

La cualidad en su grado más alto:

• The + adjective -est      $\to$ Cupcake is the sweetest desert.
• The + most + adjective $\to$ The most interesting fact is hot dog was invented in Germany.
